So this last monday I had to put my cat down, which as everyone knows is hard. It's really hard cause I've had him since I was 4.He lived a good long life of 16 years, he was a fighter. He went through two broken legs,stones in his bladder, and I remember and incident when I was little where he tore a portion of skin off his thigh. 0,0 Then about three and a half years ago, I found a lump on the side of his tummy, so I took him to the vet. After a few tests were run, they diagnosed him with cancer. Well you can imagine how a 17 year old, animal lover would react... I was a mess. They said that we could operate and try and take it out, but they didn't know how far it had spread and what not, so my mom and I talked it over. We decided to try it, however the pills we needed to put him on before the surgery made him loopier than shit, and he wouldn't eat. So we cancelled that idea. At that point, we decided he'd lived a good long life of 13 years, we'll put him down when it's time. The doctor gave him 6 months, and said we'd be able to tell with how he acted when he was ready. 3 and half years and a few scares later we finally put him down. It was his time. He lived a good life... but I terribly miss my little cuddle bug.
